Online Income Update

It's been a busy month but I have learned quite a bit.  Some of my projects are waiting for my upcoming move to a house.  I am not wanting to have to go through the address changing a month into setting things up.  So I wait...

Meanwhile I have found a few ways to make a buck or two.  I haven't been doing much with the stock photo side of things yet.  I do have six files total across two agencies.  They have received a few views each but no purchases yet. 

One of my goals is to start all of this with no money out of my pocket, so if I want to own a domain and host it I need to create the money it will cost online beforehand.  So far I am up to a little over forty dollars total for the month of June.  I am truly excited with that amount!  This is my first real month and I am making money! 

The majority of the money I have made so far comes from a site called Microworkers.  I wouldn't want to officially promote this site until I actually receive my first paycheck (it's one of the address change issues spoke of earlier).  The idea is fairly simple though, you sign up and create an account and pick various little Internet jobs paying from .20 to $1.20 or more.  Most are easily completed in a minute or two without compromising your security in any way. If you watch what you are doing and pick wisely you can make 2 to 3 dollars a day in just a few minutes.  It adds up pretty fast. 

I have added a new Amazon search box in the top right corner of the page.  This should make it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for.  Hopefully I will be successful in directing some traffic to it.

Progress

I am very happy to report that I have had two of my photographs accepted at one of the stock agencies that I am using.  The same two photographs are still pending at another site.  I know this is a small step but being my first approvals I can't help but be excited.  I can't wait for an actual sale!  I am going to see if they get accepted at the second site and then I may submit them to a few more that I have on my list.  All my submissions so far have been from older pictures I have in my collection.  I can't wait to have a chance to actually take some shots with the stock concept in mind when shooting.

I haven't had much time to write or take any pictures lately as house hunting is filling my time off.  I have managed to get one more article approved at infobarrel.  That brings my total to a very sad two.  Honestly I have lacked creativity with writing articles as well so I can't blame it all on the lack of time. 

I realize that this project of making a passive online income will take a good while to build but I am positive if I keep chipping away at it I will start to see it grow over time.  Rome wasn't built over night you know! 

A Quick Update

Here we are in May already!  Time flies when you are have fun right?  Since my last post I have been doing more reading on SEO (search engine optimization) and how to apply it to various types of web content. Key word research is also time consuming.  So far I have found a couple of good back linking tricks I will share later.  Right now I want to make sure I have everything working correctly.

I now have Amazon ads up on my sites.  I am not positive the ones on my infobarrel article are mine but I know the ones on this blog are.  It is interesting to say the least to learn how all of this works.  I can see how this could be extremely profitable but I can also see how it could be difficult to build the traffic.  I am still new to all of this and look forward to learning a whole lot more as we go.

The main thing I am focused on at the moment is finding a nitch.  I am not trying to find the next super fad, rather just any nitch I stand a good chance of making profitable.  I have experimented with Googles Adword Keyword Tool and it gives a wealth of information but I haven't found what I am looking for.  I will get some time off of my regular job at the end of this month.  I am hoping to make a lot of progress between now and when I go back from my time off.  Wish me luck!
